Make It a Discipline Free Zone

Creating Beautiful Family Photos in Goodyear Arizona

Yes you read that right. THIS IS A DISCIPLINE FREE ZONE. Now don’t just tune me out. This isn’t parenting advice or unrealistic ideals. During a photography session you want your kids to unwind and relax, the best way to do that is to allow them to be themselves.

  • Don’t worry about trying to make them be good or smile perfectly. Just relax and enjoy playing with your kids.
  • Now if they are doing something unsafe and are about to get hurt, by all means please help them. But that is it. After that let them be themselves.
  • If they start moving away from you, start chasing them in play, trust me they will love it.
  • If they pick up a stick, show them how to write on the ground with it.
  • If they want you to hold them, spin around and dance.
  • Do anything that you know will make your kids smile. This will keep the mood light and fun and everyone will be laughing.

All these types of actions have great genuine connection and joy, which creates heart warming photos.
